Strengthening presence. Multiplying potential.
A Campaign for the Consortium of Christian Study Centers
Our vision
The need
Eighty percent of Christian students attend secular universities – where they have little opportunity for distinctly Christian learning and formation – and as little as one percent of faculty members at forty leading universities are Christians*. Biblical illiteracy, cultural headwinds, and the “de-churching” of Gen Z all combine to create a crucial need for new ways forward for Christian presence on university campuses.
Our response
We envision 100+ Christian Study Centers serving 100,000+ students in response to this crisis of spiritual formation. As of fall 2026, thirty-seven Christian Study Centers are already serving over 20,000 people at secular universities where they are creating gathering places for students and scholars animated by the ancient ideal of faith seeking understanding.

Serving at the intersection of church & university
It is increasingly important to have a place where truth, beauty, and goodness are taught and upheld – study centers stand in that gap.
Lydia Marlin – Sayers Fellow Alumna; Study Center Staff Member, Center for Christian Study at UVA
[Study centers] are on the cutting edge of mission and ministry in all the ways that the church would love to be involved but can’t be because they don’t have the connections or the pathways into the university. Our Christian study centers have those pathways.
Eugene Habecker – President Emeritus of Taylor University; Chairman of the Board for the Consortium
My experience with the Consortium and the study centers I’ve been a part of have shaped me theologically and professionally.
Carrie Roth – Sayers Fellow & Study Center Student Alumna; Study Center Staff Member, Center for Christianity and Scholarship at Duke
The movement is growing
The number of full-time employees at Christian Study Centers across the country increased 35% in the last year.
The number of Consortium member study centers has increased by 50% over the last five years.
The Consortium is currently managing 17 active inquiries from new Christian Study Centers that are in the process of starting up.
The Consortium’s Fellows Program has been one of the single most effective partnerships we’ve ever had in terms of helping us expand our impact and reach.
Vivek Mathew – Executive Director, Chesterton House at Cornell University
When you support the Consortium, you’re really supporting the entire network. You’re enabling the consortium to provide us with more resources, with guidance and support.
Rick Ostrander – Executive Director, Michigan Christian Study Center
