Veritas Forum on Loving God & Loving Neighbor: Muslim & Christian Perspectives on the “Other”

March 24, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm CDT

Loving one’s neighbor is a value taught by many religious traditions, including Christianity and Islam. How do our religious traditions teach us how to view issues of race, difference, and so on? And how have our histories demonstrated the similarities in terms of approaching these issues?

All UMN students are invited to join Anselm House, the Muslim Student Association, and The Veritas Forum for Loving God and Loving Neighbor: Muslim and Christian Perspectives on the ‘Other,’ a roundtable dinner discussion with Dr. Fuad Naeem (University of St. Thomas) and Dr. Paul Lim (Vanderbilt University).

A plated dinner and dessert will be catered from a local Halal-friendly restaurant. The event will include a moderated discussion, led by Ustadha Faduma Warsame (UMN Chaplain & Muslim Life Advisor), a time for discussion among attendees, and a Q&A with Dr. Lim and Dr. Naeem.

Space is very limited so please register.
