SUMMARY:Philosophy Camp: What Is Justice?
DESCRIPTION:Politics have become an area of confusion\, conflict\, and deadlock. This summer\, rising sophomores\, juniors and seniors are invited to join Anselm House to get past the muddle and initiate reasoned\, productive political conversation by returning to first principles of political philosophy. By examining various philosophical concepts of justice and the just (or ideal) society\, we’ll learn how to engage better in civil political dialogue\, with the aim of becoming more virtuous citizens and human beings.

DESCRIPTION:Anselm House Fellows are undergrad and grad/professional students exploring how the Christian faith shapes all of life and learning at the University of Minnesota. Fellows gather every other week during the semester for home-cooked meals and instructor-led discussions on key topics in the Christian life. And it’s not too late to join Anselm House for the spring! Register for this preview night to experience our accelerated cohort for new Fellows\, starting Monday\, Jan. 23rd. \nEach Fellows Night begins with prayer and a home-cooked community dinner. Afterwards\, you will split into cohorts of 10-12 students with tutors to discuss the weeks’ readings and questions. The cohorts and course are designed to seek answers to questions over the course of a year\, with deep study and open vulnerability.
